South End Infant School Council

Our school has a school council. It is run by the pupils. Our aim is to give pupils the power to make changes and improvements to ensure the positive development of South End Infant School. They are the centre of school life and so play an important part in the way the school changes. Everyone's ideas are important!
The School Council consists of elected members (voted for by the pupils) from each class and represent the ideas of all the pupils at South End Infant School. The council acts as a platform for the committe to present and discuss 3 main areas of school life. Environmental issues, overseas school contacts and the running of the school.

The council is responsible for organising and reviewing recycling schemes, the continuing playground development and improving the awareness of how the school and the surrounding community can be increasingly environmentally friendly.

The school council operate the  Rainbow Room.  Well done to our school council and to Mrs Worbey for all her hard work and support. We could not hve completed the project without the support of the Friends of South End Infant school (FOSEIS) who raised the funds to complete the work.
