Home Grown and Raised

The eggs from Home Grown and Raised will be arriving on Monday 26th February 2018.

This will provide an amazing educational opportunity for the children to learn about life cycles, before returning to the farm to be raised in a caring environment.

We can also report, our chicks that hatched from the previous incubation experience are still happily clucking around Mrs. Harris' garden and are being very well looked after.

Over the past few weeks, all of the year groups from South End Infant School have had the opportunity to visit our local Library.

We all felt incredibly proud of the children who attended when Rushden Library kindly posted a public thank you to our "Lovely students" and stated that they were welcome back anytime.

Everyone in Reception was extremely excited when the Exploration Station opened in November. The Reception children sang some beautiful songs they had written about nature and the outside, before the ribbon was cut and the Exploration Station was officially declared open! This is a great example of how important the funds that you help to raise benefited not only for current pupils but also for the children of the future, adding to their whole school experience. A big thank you from us to you.

Our NEW Logo is unveiled

You may recall that we recently held a Logo Competition. We had already decided on the main wording of the new logo, and invited all the children to add their ideas to bring the logo to life.

We would like to say a big thank you to all of the children who took part in the competition; there were some very clever and novel ideas.

Congratulations to one of our Year 2 pupils whose design really stood out. We loved her attention to detail and the care she took in presenting her entry.

During this morning’s assembly the new logo was unveiled to the whole school.
